Overview

The Bijrani Zone is one of the most popular tourism zones in Jim Corbett National Park, known for its rich biodiversity, beautiful grasslands, and frequent tiger sightings. Located close to Ramnagar, Bijrani offers both day safari options and forest lodge stays for deeper jungle experiences.

This zone is ideal for nature lovers, birdwatchers, and photographers looking to witness tigers, elephants, deer, sloth bears, and a wide variety of bird species in their natural habitat. The terrain features mixed forests, river streams, and open meadows — offering excellent visibility during the safari.

Jeep safaris in Bijrani run in two shifts daily — morning and evening. Forest rest houses are also available for overnight stays, giving you the opportunity to truly immerse yourself in the Corbett wilderness.

Tour Plan

Visitors to the Bijrani Zone begin their journey from Ramnagar, the nearest town and safari booking center. After completing the forest department formalities and securing a permit, a registered jeep with a licensed guide takes you into the jungle through the Bijrani Gate. The safari covers scenic forest trails, open grasslands, and water streams, enhancing your chances of spotting wildlife in their natural habitat.

Both morning and afternoon safaris are available, but slots are limited and fill quickly, especially during peak seasons. Overnight stays can also be arranged at the Bijrani Forest Rest House for those seeking a deeper jungle experience, subject to forest department approval. Every safari is a guided and timed experience, ensuring the safety of both visitors and animals. Return to Ramnagar post-safari for further travel or relaxation.
